Gallery for Epic Adventures Kingfish Trips on Sanity for the week 12th - 18th June
Even though heading out wide was out of the question Brent Prisk and crew opted to still come and fish their charter on a blowy day, and it paid off, they got stuck into some awesome Kingi fishing within minutes of Whitianga. Ten kingfish by 9am in the Mercury Bay then off for a snapper fish!
Ronnie with the first of the day - a 16kg fish caught on 4kg braid in 4m of water

Brent with a nice king from the Bay, yep, Flaxmill Bay in the background!!

Isona with a sweet fish on a the wee Stella/Synit softbait combo

And another on the heavier gear, caught slow trolling a macca

Kingi bycatch while getting livies

Rob with a nice snapper from Great Merc

Another cracker before headin home!!

Robbie Edwards was out for another mission to the Aldermen Pins jigging and livebaiting for kingis. His crew had a cracker of a day

"Spew" kept it all intact today and nailed some nice kings

As did Dan with a new PB of 16kg

Enought to strike a pose for

And Jarpie nailed his first ever kingfish too

Thursday 17 June was a cracker of a day and David Broad and the lads from Fonterra hit a hot bite at the Aldies with livies and jigs getting smashed. Simon Godden recaught a kingfish we tagged on Epic in the 2008 Nationals!!!! Two years later and it was healthy as anything!

Dave with a cracker

Pete sticking it to one on the Stella - check the conditions!!

A 20 kegger this time!!

Still a few tuna around - this one hit a softie destined for a snapper

Simon and some sore arms!!

Wicked quality of fish today with some big tides cranking the fish into life

On stupid fish! An earlier bustoff minutes earlier to an angler on Epic and the fish whacks another livie!!

Tobes snuck out himself for a wee snapper fish at the end of the week, again a day where you couldn't have gone wide but some nice fish in the lee of Great Mrcury
