Fat Kings at the Aldies

Report from Capt Tobez

When Deano called saying he and Greg had just landed and would be 15 a way, it gave us a bit more time catching livies at the wharf. I had the Ash's with me and they kept the livie tank topped up. Out in the bay the ashes gave me a heads up to where some monster sized maccas were and found them at the 10m mark hard on the bottom. Topping the bait tank to maximum capacity we jetted to the aldies for a look around a very friendly reef

On the first drop Deano nailed this prime pup puka..too much Goldfinger!

Ash starts the morning off with a nice fish on his acid kojac

and follows it up with a little scrapper

next one gives Goldfinger a run for his money, a new PB for Deano and he celebrates.

Gregs on the board

a tag team effort on the late teens king

so they have the lucky side of the boat to themselfs so the boys take rest stops. deanos next XOS mackerel gets hoovered but a rocket...a quick tussel and a bit of 'your not going anywhere' he gets a real gem

next drop Gregs hell run on beast's carries on - another in the late teens

Deanos not done yet...mate..another bloody horse!

outstanding fish these tanks...look at the guts!!!

and one of uncles sabikis catching a ratty

With such big kings lurking it was super keen to get out there and try and keep peeps into some lifetime fish. I was joined by Rangi (robin) Horace( pater) , Jeff, and Gazza.  Horace starts things off on a big aldies snapper day with a 3kg model taken on a live bait 30m off the reef

Rangi nails a beaut snapp int he 6kg mark...you guessed it..livie doing the damage

Another one to horace, this time on the softie

Another one horace?...sure why not!

Gazza quietly gets nailed on the other side of the boat - a very sore and elated gazza gets a hand full of hoodlum

back to the snapper and the next one is a boomer!!..9.5kg's of prime snapp!

rangi gets back into the action - a prime specimen

Jeff gets busy oon the acid

and...BOOYAA!...home run

and tops off his day with a pannie on the softie

A new PB for rangi -7kgs of primo snapp

A great couple of days on Sanity
