Kingfish and Snapper Fishing Gallery
Fish caught livebaiting, jigging and softbaiting around Tairua and the Alderman Islands on Epic Adventures on day fishing charters week to 22 October 2009.
Mick Johnson was back for some more Action, his fifth trip with usn the last few months - this guy seems to be a fish magnet - we always seem to have blinders with him on board, this fish on Action Stilleto jig in Orange

Mick's mate, Kevin got stuck into his first kingi on the jig and was buzzing, this one on our Stella and Smiths combo, Broken Arrow jig in blue

Not a bad fish either!! 19kg of prime Aldies kingfish, this one went in the bin to be weighed at Kevin's local club

Kevin got on a roll and was hooking fish left right and centre, this one about to be released boatside

Noel Edwards decided to have a crack on 6kg mono, with a Sluggo and Cyclops, and boated a sweet kingi on the light stuff

Noel's brother with another prime conditioned kingi released boatside

Mick had a crack with the Zman and softbait gear, pretty stoked with a nice kingi about to be released

And another one on the Orange Action Stilleto about to be released

Just when all had agreed that it had been a great day with some quality fish, it hit overdrive.....four guys hooked up time and again, doesn't happen every day but if you get out enough you'll strike bites like this....

Next up was the Jack of All Trades trip and that report is up seperately on the hoime page.
Tony McKenzie was out with us for another crack at the kingis and blooded his new little Quantam reel with a very healthy 18kg kingfish

Boulder with plenty of Action jigs from his online tackle store about to be tested

Pat Farrell with the fish of the day from Boulders trip with us, water was green as and one of the hardest days for a long time but Pat got his first kingi on the jig, and took out fish of the day and a Jigging Master cap from Boulder.

Tony from YeeHaa brought some new jiggers down with him on Wednesday. These guys had never fished off a boat before, and here they are hooked up to a couple of freight trains in 15knots of South Easterly, half way to Chile :-) Hot bite!! New Synit rod getting a workout!!

Not bad for first fish off a boat!!

And the other from the double

Mark Woodward with a 15kg kingfish caught on his Smiths Rod and Ocea Jigger, Zest Curved Slider in Pink

Tony having a play with one of the orginal Jigging Master 200's, seven years old and still going strong

Caught on a YeeHaa pencil jig

Mark getting peeled on the Stella 8000 and Monster Mesh 200

Nice fish about 12kg about to be released

The boys from Independent Liquor were up next for a bit of Coromandel style team building. The orange stilleto jig working a treat

Wayne Henson getting stuck into one on the JigWrex 100

Caught on an orange Broken Arrow 200gm

Reece with another kingfish on the Stella and Orange Stilleto

Wayne with a beaut snapper taken on a live Slimey on our new Tica Magnum livebait rod.

The same rod bending over big time on a decent kingfish

Another snapper taken on a dead chin hooked slimey

Another good fish on the livebaits about to be released

Won't get sick of watching this rod do its thing!!

Another king about to be slipped over the side and released

Time for some more metal action, Smiths rod bent and Stella wound to full

18kg kingfish about to be released

Time for some deep water softbaiting, some of Boulders Cyclops rigs, with Owner worm hooks and a 7" new penny Gulp grub, bingo

Time for an science class back at the Aldies, and an inspection of the stomach contents of one kingfish....

Every day was different, thats what brings us back for more!!
