Nov Kingi Madness

Report from Carl

Doubles, quads, triples, you name it, the kings have been biting every drop. Mental fishing.

Ian Kitchingman brought some mates out to show them what kingi fishing is all about and they got the hell treatment from the kingis - on the rail all day....

There were some solid fish from the outset

Blue spear has been slaying them - a great jig at the moment

John and Judy with a nice double, one of many

Judy showing perfect technique

Another nice one for Judy

A better fish for her on the Blue spear

John kept slaying them all day

And ended up with a primo 25k kingfish

Ian perservered on 8kg mono looking for that 20k fish but there were plenty of dustings, he settled for an avg sized one to finish the session up

We even got to run some marlin lures, with the season ahead the guys wanted to see how we set out pattern, one of Bonze's big teasers running here in short.  With more sunfish than we've ever seen out wide at the moment, mako's and plenty of bait its not long before the big boys turn up....

Rhys from Independent with his new MC Works and Stella FA - blooded!! Plenty of multi hook up madness again today!!  A quick rugby tackle round the legs kept Rhys in the boat on this fish......

Plenty more kings for the team again today

Blue spear doing the damage once again

Another avg sized one destined for release

Rhys stoked with his fish of the day, a solid fish on the new rig

The new LED lights from Specialised Lighting Concepts doing the trick filing the tank!

Reece from Rogers Boat Shop always has a ball when he's out, here with a typical sized kings from most of the multi hook ups of late

Regular Ben with a nice on on the Blue spear

Barry from Paeroa won an auction we donated to the Balloons over Waikato trust, three drops for him through the day, three solid fish....that was enough for the arms!!

Ben and Mike with a double on jigs

Ben having a ball on the kings

Another sweet fish for Reece

Quite a few cookie cutter marked kingfish around - a good sign the kings are following the squid

More triple madness

Barry finished up with a solid fish on the Van Staal

Out again tomorrow for some more kingfish mayhem
