Two Top Sportfishing Boats - Designed with sportfishing in mind

Our objective is to provide the best possible sportfishing experience and when it comes to chasing kingfish in particular we think large trailer boats are the best vessels to use.    Since we started running fishing charters in 2005 our boats have evolved to the point where we think we have best weapons on the water for the job!!

They get you to the grounds and back quickly, in maximum comfort.  Both charter boats have comfortable seating, roomy wheelhouses and the skipper is very close to provide the best possible guidance, help and tuition while you are fishing.  Both charters boats are the perfect set up for jigging with controls, throttle and electronics in plain view of everyone jigging to see exactly what each line is doing. (The same goes for fighting kingis in the shallows and fighting big marlin, the helm is right where the action is!).  

Both boats are ideally set up to fish four people at once, (we can join up casual anglers if required) we can fish both boats side by side for bigger groups, and regularly fish corporate groups of eight people off both boats.

Your safety in Mind

Both our boats are pontoon style designed with maximum safety and stability in mind.

Both boats are in Safe Ship Management with Maritime New Zealand and carry all the safety equipment you would expect.

Gear Provided on all trips

One thing that Epic Adventures boats have set the standard for in recent years is the fact we provide top of the line kingfish gear as part of the charter cost, free to use by all anglers on board.  (Note this is on a pay if lost or broken basis)

On board you will find Stella 20000, JM reels, MC Works, Jigging Master rods and a selection of other top of the line brands. The upshot is if you do not have any jigging gear you can walk on and make your mind up about what you like before you invest in your own gear.  All terminal tackle is also provided (again on a pay if lost basis).

Both boats have full sets of softbait (light braid) reels, four or more sets of heavy 50-80lb kingfish sets as well as some gear for popping and stickbaiting.
