“Sanity” is a 'one off' Custom Built 8m Tsunami pontoon boat - a fishing machine! Just like the rest of our fleet it is a trailer boat which is perfect for jigging, soft baiting and with deck tread on the bow - two awesome stick bait/soft plastic platforms. We'll hold you right on top of the kingi schools or at the perfect casting distance and your guide Capt Tobes will be right there next to you on the controls to offer guide you through the fight if needed.

Sanity is superbly set up for most fishing applications, and will get you to the grounds in speed and comfort. With comfortable seating, and a nice smooth ride and plenty of space out for the weather to keep the whole party dry. She has plenty of fuel capacity and is ideally set up for long range trips out to Cuvier Island ex Whitianga. A dive platform on the rear with boarding ladder (by request)

Sanity is powered by a Yahama 225HP Four Stroke, reliable as they come and another fish raising magnet! She is surveyed for 6 plus 2 crew, but tobes reccommends 4 people fishing, it works best if we are to put everyone on to a quality fishing experience. She is in “Safe Ship Management” with Maritime NZ, contains all the required safety equipment including Liferaft, Radio Beacons, GPS, VHF, Lifejackets, Flares etc to ensure you get home safely should a worse case scenario should ever happen

Sanity is also equipped with a massive Raymarine C120 chart plotter/sounder, or 'Fish TV' as many call it and has a Radar as a navigational aid for those foggy mornings or rainy days.
Good electronics are a must with the type of fishing that we do - especially jigging and softbaiting. You can be sure we'll do our upmost to put you right on top of where the action is! A good Fusion stereo to raise those kingis is also on board and is IPod friendly, so feel free to bring your own tunes as Tobes loves his music.

Other boat features include handwash sinks in the cockpit, two bait/jig stations and a livebait tank. Porta Pottie for the ladies in the cabin and 6ft 2 squabs if a nap is needed after getting delt to by monster kings!
