Sanity Pics 20 Jan onwards
Report from Capt Tobez
Scotty from Thompson Walker lent us a Fin-nor set to trail on the boat, a Marquesa 12 and and Fin nor Marquesa 60-75lb rod. To be fair they are a fantastic little combo and have bolwed over many kings in the mid 20's. This is fast becoming a go to rod on the boat and all that use it love it!...back to business. The fishing has been truely Epic! with many kings over 20kgs coming over the side and plenty in the late teens. Again live baits have been outfishing jigs, but those jiggers who stick at it are slaying plenty still.
Here Dave gets to grips with the Marquesa set, that rod sure folds away!

and is rewarded with a late teens king from the par 5

Dave and Sean had a few cross overs but managed to sort it out and get this respectable double

Dave was on fire and nails another

while sean felt the burn

but was not deterred - its along way from hong kong and manned up and got another

Marty joins in the par-tae

Another double double, this time Marty and Sean

Nice fish Marty!...nearly at the kegger club.

Ana and Lyn from Singapore came to experience kings after giving the sailfish in Rompin (malaysia) a good going over - they were not expecing the power of the kings!

Ana starts the day with a primo king in the bay on the 4kg braid - Ana couldnt believe the massive runs and loved the Synit 4-6kg/Stradic combo

Aussie duo, cam and rich from Kayak Fishing Down Under joined the trip and Cam set about getting some action
Rich got himself a beauty

Ana got this fine specimen of a aldi pins snap on the softie

Cam finished the day with this ripper!
