More Stickbait and Spring King Action
Report from Tobes
Ants was back for his second trip with us and he his mates from the mighty waikato. The forecast was good getting fairly average and I figured we would have enough time to go out bowl some kings and head back in. Well it was one of those days out of the box...swellmap was spot on and metservice...wasnt. We loaded the live bait tank in short time and headed out on a flat calm ocean - no sign of the 15knts!..and thats how it stayed for the rest of the day...glassy!!!

The boys were amped as we had a blinder the previous day and I couldnt have asked for a better start - four lives dropped, four fish hooked up!!...what a way to start a day!
Ants with a well conditioned king

Up at the par 5 Ants upped the anti

Jeff was happy to get his take home model

and continued to nail them kings!

Softies were the order of the day with kings up high and hitting anything that moved and Mark did well on the Gulp wiggly tail thing

Another for mark on the same little rig..fun fun fun!

Ollie had a blinder with heaps of fish caught one after the other

not to be outdone he did the deed on the softies and one particular fish emptied the braid and alot of the backing before the hook slipped, so had to settle with a 12kg model which took the softie on the way up..too much!

And why not finish with a triple!!

awsome day with another awsome group of lads
Craig (fat bastard) had booked out Sanity for his dad's 75th birthday present and was joined by his kids so it was a real family affair. Jett and Harry had flown from Bermuda to join the kids that had come together to celebrate this special occation. The trip before the fishing was off the richter so i had high hopes of the nite continuing. Bait was hard to find until i found a massive school of maccies and it was all hands on deck to get as many as possible as fast as we could. In no time the tank was chokka and we slow trolled for kings areounf the bait school's but diddnt manage any and headed to the pins.
The birthday boy , Harry was first up and got his biggest fish ever...a sly wink and chuckle and he was amped!

Its awsome having family doing activities together and father and daughter were doing it well!

Bermuda Jett had never felt the power of a king and this warm up model streched his muscles

Then they grew up and this superb fish made his day

Michelle was having a blinder, with little whoops and yeehaa's slipping out occationally letting me know she was having a great time, this fish gave her a real work out!

as did this king, jsut one of many for mitch for the day

Scotty wasnt feeling to flash but plucked up his strenght and gave it a good crack...good on ya!!

All in all a great day in sloppy conditions - over 30fish for the crew for the day provided them with and Epic experience.

Its always a treat having young'ins on the boat and when a mate pulled out Alex jumped at the chance at catching a king or two! No problems with baits for the team and soon Alex was feeling the power of a king.

Helped by dad Conrad, Alex digs it in and gets his first one to the boat, nice and tasty too!

after a rest he was back into it and lands this beauty!...well done lad

Chris had a great day and this nice fish went back to fight another day

another nice fish for chris

Double trouble, twin kings for the Chris's

Last time Robbie and his gang came down they were so amped that they got there at 5am with a bait net and started catching livies before i was out of bed! The boys were a little bit more relaxed this time and we loaded up sanity and hit the water. Maccies were done and dusted in no time and soon the reels started loosing drag and the boys were into it!
Dan was having a blinder, this fish which went 20kg was on a deadly little softie on the kings

Robbie got a few on softie too this beauty gave him a good old fashion fight

back on livies robbie nails a nice one for the bin

the t curve curado combo doing the damage on the kings - 4kg braid...no worries!

Tony was having a great day with two top fish

second drop for yapi and using his favourite broken arrow

thanks for a top day lads!!
Another stunning day with perfect conditions. First time on sanity for the boys and with good fish yesterday i had high hopes of some more big fish. Joel was the lucky angler for the day hitting homers most drops.

A nice double to start the day...always nice starting with a double

Joel was strait into fish and this late teens king was a great warm up

Why not something with a little more tow!

It was just fantastic to be on the water in these conditions, fish biting, music cranking and happy lads. Rob was enjoying his day and this nice fish went home

Laxing on the back of Sanity soaking up some rays!

Bradley Smokers are a pretty common name in the fishing ferternity and Mark was itiching to get some for his smoker. Deckie lee was back onboard to run the deck and Rachel is new to the Bradley family so youll no doubt see her about town, Greg made up the crew and in no time we were on the pins hunting down fish for the smoker
Greg gets the ball rolling - nice one mate!

The new Carpenter Blue Chaser needed blooding and when a work up of very good fish went beserk on the surface Mark was there to throw a gamma in the mayhem

A superb fish to christen the rod...love ya work!

Rach was a king virgin and amping to get into it and she was on form with a sucession of top fish

she kept them coming and kept lee pretty busy

after a quick rest, strait back into it

What a team!
