Spring fishing is well and truly upon us. Its that time of year when multiple hook ups are not uncommon and can create chaos! Well its has been all go out here across the boats Epic boats as the kings have really kicked out of winter mode and have come on the bite big time! A classic sign of this is the fish moving up higher in the water column feeding more aggressively and frequently. Barracuda have showed their ugly faces over the last four weeks which has seemed to be an endless battle but with a little relief they seem to have dropped off that past few days! Jigs have been working really well, getting smashed left right and centre at times. Nothing more exhilarating than a big king hitting the jig and peeling off a heap of line wondering if you are ever going to stop it and more often than not with the big ones you won’t!

Bait fish continues to be the challenge. A few left in the bay, but generally found further down the coast. We are still focused on the Aldie pins at present, but with warmer waters and bigger bites, other areas are starting to turn it up as well!

Cheers all

it’s been a pretty sweet start to spring with this past month bringing an awesome time on the kings! Plenty of fish smashing both jigs and livies.

Although the constant southwest winds have managed to put a few trips off, we’ve had a very busy lead up to October. On the terms of by catch, customer’s have been able to secure a plenty full amount of snapper up to 22lb. With fishing this exciting I’m looking forward to what October and November has to offer !

Hi all,

September was a month of wind and rain, it was difficult to get out on the water for the trip that were booked.
But in saying that the fishing was just like every skipper likes, insane.
Snapper are in big numbers and in great condition in the gulf through September and as for size they are just stonkers..
Bait fish and bird activity is crazy out wide and also kingfish are lerking under the workups.
October is one of our better months for huge snapper so get booking now.

Cheers

Capt. Chris.
