More Spring Kingfish - Oct 2011
Report from Carl
Tom Olsen and mates from Team Wild Blue Ocean came over for the World Cup and snuck a days fishing in. Tim spent most of the day crook as but mates Troy and co dominated the kingfish, multi hook ups the norm

Blue Broken Arrow the usual performer

As were livies

Plenty of action on the helmet cam for the boys!

Doubles, triples, you name it, just one fish kept for the BBQ, the rest released for another day

Stuff fellas

Good luck charm Chloe was back for some more EPic action and dominated on a big day of fish. Not quite the 103 fish the guys did last year in a day, but the tally read 59 at the end of the day. Chloe was amongst the action with the line share of the best fish - 17 in total for her.....

This one over the 20kg mark

Waz lovin the new Team Yeehaa softie rods

Choice one bro!

Dave with another solid Aldies kingi!

Triple time!

Stuff Wazza!

Prototype of the new Kiwell green and gold coloured broken arrow getting a thrashing!

As does the blue and pink! John stuff to the jigs all day and nabbed 15 fish on jigs...the team nabbed 59 all up - one hell of a crazy day - big thanks to decky Tony who dealt to the majority of the mayhem in cool calm collected fashion!

The boys left Chloe at home for day three...maybe she was stealing the limelight....word was her arms were a little sore....Dave got the ball rolling with a solid snap

The boys had been having a ball on the new Team Yeehaa softbait rods and when the next livie got nabbed half way to the surface as I was winding it in they had great delight in sitting back in the sun and making me fight it....."someone take it....."....."nah skip time we watch you get dealt to for a change.,...."

With some screaming runs and tail beats for the first half of the fight it felt exactly like a kingfish, near the boat I thought otherwise...look what popped up.....

The action wasn't quit the 60 fish the boys had the day before but still plenty of doubles and triples, and some big fish still part of the action

Another double

Dave enjoying a day out with the lads :-)

Once again 99% of the guys kingfish were released for the trip, but a bit of bounty got kept for the BBQ as well, the boys celebrating some tasty tucker for the BBQ that night - a nice trifecta of goodies

Next day it was back to day trips and at the Par Five Miles hooked a freight train that had the Stella 20000 howling and the MC Works glass bent in half well and truly.....we got it to the boat and it dug in behind the prop while we did donuts trying to get the hell away from this angry fish!! Pulled the Digital scales down to 26.9kg - well done Miles!

He was at it again next drop with a solid fish gracing a cookie cutter shark mark (plenty of these lately, a sign these fish have followed the squid schools in)

Ray got into plenty of action through the day, this one destined for the smoker

Ray's mate from Whiti got plenty of railings on a nice balmy day at the office!

First kingi for this Whiti boy!

Triple of fish about to be released - plenty of smiles all round ;-)

The jiggy boys came out to test a bit of new JigStar kit, Alastiar got the ball rolling with a nice fish on the JM Alien

As did young Bradley on the green Alien

Dobby loving the Coro action

Chris putting the prototype of the new Jigstar 120gm to the test

Looks like its got some grunt!

That man Brad dealing to another - this time on a bait.....promise we won't tell Brad!

More product testing the next day with Grunta for Fishing.net and Scotty from Thomspon Walker and someFinnor and Van Staal kit. Grunta railed first drop....

Nice one boy!

Peter with his first kingi early on

Grunta getting owned on the softbait rod

NIce king Grunta!

Aaron Ho aka Madfisho brought his Dad, bro and cuzzie from Oz out to show them how the kings pulled, the old fella into his first...yeehaa

A mental bite first thing there were lots of kings going round each other, jigs and livies both getting scoffed

Wicked conditions, Aaron hooked up

Choice fish bro

Dad on again

Arms stretched now!

Don't get these in Sydney aye mate!

Burger time, our take on the Burger Tower.... bit of kingi diced up for a kingi fritter in Fog Dog fritter mix, some slabs of kingi for the FogDog batter

Fritters, done

Fish slabs...done

The kingfish burger tower
