Sanity Kings and Hapuku - Jan 2012
Report from Tobes
Sanity was back off to tairua to pick up some fellas that had a bit of a shark incident last time so i was keen to keep away from sharks and into kingfish...the dairy was loaded with boats and livies and in no time we were heading back to the pin after a week long absense so i was hoping beyond all hope that there were some mega kings lurking. I was dissapointed, first drop...Brad could do nothing and the fish earnt its freedom in the reef but the rest diddnt get away!!
Brad gets a beauty, one of many big fish caught today

A top double for the boys

Kev gets to the keg club...nice fish

and another!!...the guy could do no wrong

Regans old man also gets to the kegger club

and so does Regan

But surprise of the day was a thumping puka off the pin taking a half maccie for a big snapper..its a beauty!!

choice azz day fellas thanks for coming back!!

Next up. the Allsop boys were back for another tussle with some kings and over the last week we had put many people onto some great fish and I had high hopes for the crew today.
Bob was first to get railed and after a solid fight he was well rewarded

Chris gets a new PB, ow happy is that man!

Mark got a good taste with the trusty black stump being the lucky rod of the day

Nice late teens fish for Jeff

last but not least Dwuan nails a beauty...now Dwuan is a big unit and this fish was around 20kg, well done lads!!

Dairy farmer Lisa and her kids were back to have a great day on sanity, with the wind change the maccies were hard to get and I was hoping the awsome fishing would continue....I was a bit worried when i sounded over the pin as alot of the bait had dissapeared, amazing how it changes overnight. Fortunatley there were still some great fish lurking about.
Ally played this fish like a pro

Jack enjoyed his warm up fish...

Mumma Lisa with fish of the day in the mid twenties!...well done

Down at the G spot the fish were still there allthough more couda were present but it diddnt stop Jack getting a new PB

We headed into the aldies for a spot of lunch and had a hungry seagull called 'Bill' who did his best 'feed Me' impersonation.

great to have u back lisa...hope to see you again soon
