Late May Kingi Action
Report from Capt Tobez
My second trip on the new Senator, and what a machine!!...just loving the live bait TV!. I was joined by expat kiwis back for a holiday from Queensland, Gary and Gavin made up the team. The fishing had been frustrating with the fish showing but not chewing hard. Still the team managed new PB's and had a great day on the water.
Rob gets things started

Gavin's new PB, a solid fish...well done

Happy couple with a happy double...nice work team Nolan!

sue diddnt like the slime but loved the fight!

Rob nabs another!!

I was back on Sanity the next day with a Father/son team of mike and dave joined by pantelbeater shane and aussie rog
We headed out to the pins for a day King Pin Bowling!
Mike was hitting strikes all day with may good fish testing his body,

the first two to him

Dad Dave stops him having all the fun and grabs this nice king

a nice double for the tag team

mike grabs another for the chilli

Roger had a great day - this just one of many for the camera shy aussie

Shane and mike do the double strike

and Shane tops of the day with his new PB

Long time regulars to sanity were back for another day on the pins. Picked the lads up off toms place at the waterways and headed out. Theres something about this lot, they always catch heaps and the size is usually up there!
Shame i chopped the head off this fish but Brett was beaming

Another fantastic fish to brett

Tom and grant share the joys of a double

Grant mangaed fish of the day by just a belly full of maccies, this one in the early 20's

Grant could do no wrong, well apart from earning the title 'tangle master' from his buddies..

and Tom did the deed on many kings

and great day followed by a fantastic evening back at toms place where trophies were handed out and to 'Top Team - the kingfish legends'
Next trip Fishing.net member Jeff007 and his buddy Rich teamed up with Dane and Tony - all pretty much kingfish newbies for a day out of Tairua. With the maccies in good numbers at the cnr dairy it was going to be a good day on the pins.
Jeff gets the ball rolling with hi first ever legal kingi - nice one!

as the day progressed he warmed up to the tecniques of live baiting...nice fish
and fish of the day for him in the late teens...smile says it all really!

his buddy Rich nails the fish of the day...in the early 20's easy!

another nice fish for rich who was having a blinder, some days it's just one rod the fish like and it was his for sure.

nice rich!

Tony was on fire also with this little arm strecher

and a slightly smaller model

followed up by his big brother
