Epic Adventures Kingfish Charters – Fishing Report

I know we keep saying it but we could have a photo gallery pages long trying to showcase all of the amazing fish that have been in the area over the last few months, and it doesn’t show any signs of letting up.

Our 3 big Senator boats in the Coromandel, KAOS, EPIC, and CHURCH have been super busy for so early in the season. An indication of how hot the bite has been and how keen people have been to get out there and into it.

One of the highlights for the month has been the super-sized Hapuka featured above caught on KAOS with Capt Owen by one hard-core lady angler who did a great job in getting it up.

While we don’t normally target the big bottom-feeding species there have been plenty around and Capt Ryan on CHURCH has found a few new honey holes in our patch that is home to some very nice bluenose too.

Kingfish have been plentiful, fat, and angry! Some horses have been rattling a few bodies and really testing our gear and guests alike!

Check out our Facebook, Instagram or website for the photos of the EPIC days fishing we have been having. The Bay of Islands with Capt KIT has also been productive with solid Kingfish numbers in close and out on the pins. Snapper seems to be in good numbers and we look set for a good summer fishing out of Russell and Paihia. Hopefully, when the water starts to warm up a bit we will see the Pelagics start to cruise the coast again and some lucky anglers will be in for the ride of their lives trying to fight a game fish on our kingfish gear.

If you are looking for a top staff XMAS trip then get your bookings in for December, we have spaces still available! Half-day snapper trips are available from the Bay of Islands so if you’re keen on a family day out on the water, just give us a dial! be in good numbers and we look set for a good summer fishing out of Russell and Paihia.
