Stewart Island is one of the few remaining places where you can take a bushwalk and come across a kiwi in daylight, or have whitetail deer run across your path meters from your hut.

Fishing here is something special, with Massive blue cod the norm, deep water species like Hapuka can be caught in shallow water still, southern species like trumpeter and dogfish are plentiful. .. and of course, the INCREDIBLE cray fishing in the deep south is hard to believe.
